Dual Credit (DC) is available for students who have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. With instructor and counselor approval a student may also be approved for dual credit with a cumulative GPA between 2.50-2.99.  Furthermore, students must have a minimum 18 ACT composite score or achieve a passing score on the Accuplacer, which is administered by MCC.  Dual credit is placed on the student’s college transcript and allows students to submit that credit for review and possible acceptance at any two or four year institution of their choice. There is a charge for dual credit by MCC.

Articulated Credit (AC) is available to all students who complete a qualified career program (over one or two years) with at least a B- (80%) average. Upon successful completion of their career tech program at CTC a student must complete at least fifteen (15) additional credit hours at MCC. These 15 credits must include a minimum of one (1) technical course in the related program area. Once these 15 hours are completed the credit will be added to the student’s college transcript. There is no charge for articulated credit.

As curriculum changes in our programs or at the sponsoring institution, it may allow us to receive more credit for our programs. It is also possible that curriculum changes could cause certain credits to become unavailable.
