Welcome to Cler-Mont Elementary and to the 2025-2026 school year!  I am Ryan Souza, the principal at Cler-Mont Elementary.  With such rich traditions and values, Cler-Mont is an exceptional environment for our kids to develop as leaders, both inside and outside of the classroom.  My greatest priority is to ensure our students receive necessary support in order to feel success and thrive at Cler-Mont Elementary.     

Our goal for education focuses around students becoming self-aware, career ready, and a contributing citizen.  At Cler-Mont, we recognize the value of each student's individuality, thinking, and ideas.  We are driven to create opportunities for students to collaborate with their peers, learn to communicate effectively, and to think critically about the content they are learning.

Meal Payments
Paying for student meals can be done by any of the following methods. 

• School Cafe (online account):  
  Electronically pay meal balances or add money to your child's meal account by using School Cafe.  The link to School Cafe is below along with a link to instructions for setting up the meal account. 

• Cash or Check:  Meal payments can be made by sending in cash/check to the school in an envelope.  The envelope should be labeled as "Student First/Last Name Lunch Money".  
  *If paying for your child's school meals provide a financial hardship, please complete the Free & Reduced Meal Application through the online School Cafe account.

Families may now submit their 2025-2026 application for Free & Reduced Meals!  A new form must be completed each school year.

We highly encourage you to complete the application to find out if your child(ren) qualifies to receive free or reduced breakfast/lunch prices.  Even if you are unsure of whether your child(ren) would qualify for free or reduced meal prices, we still encourage you to complete the application. 

This year, parents/guardians will submit the Free & Reduced Meal Application through their online School Cafe account (new online account for meal payments).

If you know your student will be absent, please call and let the Cler-Mont Front Office know by no later than 9:00am.   You may also call before school begins and leave a voicemail.  When leaving a voicemail, please state your student's name, teacher's name, and the reason your student will be absent. 

By 2:30pm, please communicate any changes in after-school transportation for your child to the Cler-Mont Front Office.  We will make a reminder note for your child.

New families needing to enroll in the Fort Osage School District should begin the enrollment process by clicking the link below. https://fortosagemo.infinitecampus.org/campus/apps/olr/application/login/kiosk-app-type

The enrollment process will require you to do the following:

1. Upload Proof-of-Residency
   Document must be current (within 30 days) and in your name for the household address.
   Acceptable Documents:  mortgage statement, lease, electric bill, gas bill, or water bill
   Documents Not Accepted:  trash bill, cable/internet bill, final disconnect notice, utility account summary, or residency letter
   
   New Families & Kindergarten Families will be required to upload two documents of residency.
   Document 1:  mortgage statement, current lease or deed
   Document 2:  electric bill, gas bill, or water bill
   
   **Applications without valid documentation will be placed on hold. 
   
   Residency Affidavit:  Any family residing with a district patron who does not have the required proof of residency in their name must complete a Residency Affidavit at the District Office.  An appointment should be made by calling 816-650-7000.  Students not qualifying for a residency affidavit must enroll in their school of residence.

2. List household information & approved pick-up list
   -Anyone picking up your child must be listed on their contact list
   
   -Update phone numbers & email addresses for individuals on the pick-up list
   
   -Any adults listed as guardians should only be the individuals listed on the birth certificate as parents OR the individuals listed on a court document granting guardianship. All other individuals (step-parents, grandparents, girlfriends/boyfriends, etc.) should be listed as emergency contacts.

Overview of School Improvement Goals
Cler-Mont Elementary   |   2025-2026 School Year

Goal 1 (Reading Proficiency & Growth) 
The percentage of K-4 students scoring on-grade level or above will increase by at least 3%- from 55% (May 2025) to 58% (May 2026), as measured by the iReady Reading Diagnostic Assessment
and

100% of students will meet their annual typical growth goal, as measured by the iReady Reading Diagnostic Assessment. 

Goal 2 (Math Proficiency & Growth)
The percentage of K-4 students scoring on-grade level or above will increase by at least 5%- from 48% (May 2025) to 53% (May 2026), as measured by the iReady Mathematics Diagnostic Assessment.  
and
100% of students will meet their annual typical growth goal, as measured by the iReady Mathematics Diagnostic Assessment.

Goal 3 (Attendance)
The average daily attendance rate will increase from 89.10% (24-25 SY) to 90.00% (25-26 SY), as measured by the Missouri DESE average daily attendance rate calculation.

Distrito Escolar

All students in grades K-4th will be provided a Chromebook to use as an instructional tool. 

Students in Kindergarten & 1st Grade:  

• Will be given a Chromebook to use as an instructional tool at school
• Must have a signed AUP form (parents complete during enrollment)
• Will not take the Chromebook home
• Will not pay the $25 insurance fee

Students in 2nd Grade - 4th Grade:

• Will be given a Chromebook to use as an instructional tool at school and at home
• Must have a signed AUP form (parents complete during enrollment)
• Will regularly take the Chromebook home
• Pay the $25 insurance fee

• How to View the Insurance Fee:  You can view this insurance fee on your Campus Parent Portal account. 
   
• How to Pay the Insurance Fee:  The insurance fee can be paid by one of the following ways: 

1. Through the online enrollment in the Campus Parent Portal
2. Cash or check on Back-to-School Night (Thursday, August 14)
3. Cash or check sent to the school (put student name & reason for the money on the envelope)
