Fort Osage Parent Educators
Fort Osage Parent Educators build strong communities, thriving families and children that are healthy, safe and ready to learn by matching parents and caregivers with trained professionals who make regular personal home visits during a child’s earliest years in life, from prenatal through the start of kindergarten.
The Fort Osage Parent Educators approach is to partner, facilitate and reflect.
If you are interested in learning more about the Fort Osage Parent Educators program, call us when school is in session. A Parent Educator can answer your questions or talk about enrolling in the program.
Fort Osage Participates in State Study
Nov 14, 2024
A research paper was recently published in the Early Childhood Research Quarterly that shows participation in the Missouri Parents as Teachers (PAT) Parent Education Program is positively associated with third-grade math and English language arts proficiency. This research contributes to the literature on the importance of home visiting programs and is one of the few studies examining the effects of a voluntary, universal parent education program.
