The 2026-2027 School Year Calendar was adopted by the Fort Osage Board of Education on February 10, 2026. 

August 3- School Offices Re-Open

August 25- First Day of School K-12

August 31- First Day of School Early Childhood

September 7- No School, Labor Day 

October 16- End of 1st Quarter

October 19- No School, Staff Professional Learning Day

October 26-29- Parent/Teacher Conferences

October 30- No School 

November 2- No School, Staff Professional Learning Day

November 3- No School, Staff Professional Learning Day 

November 25-27- No School, Thanksgiving Break

December 18- Early Release Day, End of 2nd Quarter/1st Semester

December 21-31- No School, Winter Break

January 1- No School, Winter Break

January 4, No School, Staff Professional Development Day/Potential Weather Makeup Day

January 18- No School, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

February 8-11- Parent/Teacher Conferences

February 12- No School

February 15- No School, President's Day/Potential Weather Makeup Day

February 16- No School Staff Professional Learning Day/Potential Weather Makeup Day

March 12- End of 3rd Quarter

March 22-26- No School Spring Break

April 12- No School, Staff Professional Learning Day/Potential Weather Makeup Day

May 26- Last Day of School for Early Childhood Center Only

May 27- Last Day of School for K-12/Early Release Day

Mary 28- Potential Weather Makeup Day

May 31- No School

June 1- Potential Weather Makeup Day 

Fort Osage has identified six potential weather makeup days: January 4, February 15, February 16, April 12, May 28, and June 1.  Please plan accordingly.  Should any of these days become an attendance day, parents will be notified.  This calendar may be altered at the discretion of the Board of Education and/or the administration.  Should any changes be made, parents will be notified.
