Kindergarten Pre-Registration

Welcome to the Fort Osage School District! We are excited to have your child as a kindergartner for the 2026-2027 school year. Our goal is to provide the best educational services possible so that your child can reach their full potential.

Steps To Kindergarten Enrollment:

Please note you will need your child's Birth Certificate to complete the pre-registration process

Parents will pre-register their child for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents will then complete the full enrollment process starting July 1.

For Current Fort Osage Families (those who have other children enrolled at Fort Osage)

For Families New to Fort Osage (those who have no other children enrolled at Fort Osage)

Go to https://fortosagemo.infinitecampus.org/campus/OLRLoginKiosk/fortosage
Parents will:
- Enter their own contact information (required)
- Enter at least one emergency contact (required)
- Enroll in Summer School (optional)
- Upload Birth Certificate (required)
- Enter any health conditions or medication info that the health room will need to know for summer school (only needed for summer school enrollment)
- Enter summer school transportation needs (only needed for summer school enrollment)
- Sign off on the Technology AUP, Transportation AUP, any medical information provided (only needed for summer school enrollment)

All Rising K parents will be required to enroll their child as a new student beginning July 1. At that time they will provide proof of residency and current immunizations.

Additional Opportunities at Fort Osage

The following programs and opportunities are available to incoming kindergartners:

Summer School-The district offers a free summer school program for incoming kindergarten students through 12 grade. The dates will be June 1-June 26 with no school on June 19th.
Fort Discovery - The district offers a fee-based before and after school childcare program for district elementary students. Additional information can be found on their website at https://www.fortosage.net/programs/fort-discovery.

Fort Discovery Childcare

Fort Osage School District offers Before and After School Childcare for Kindergarten through 4th grade students at Blue Hills, Buckner, Cler-Mont, Elm Grove & Indian Trails Elementary Schools during the school year. Before and After school care is also available for students in 5th and 6th grades at their home elementary school.

Fort Discovery also operates at each elementary school before and after Summer Academy. Rising Kindergarten students may attend Fort Discovery during Summer Academy the year that they will enter Kindergarten. The focus of the program is to compliment the children’s classroom experience with non-academic activities and to stimulate their development in the areas of social and emotional, cognitive, gross and fine motor skills. Each day we provide a balance of structured and unstructured projects that are a mix of teacher directed and child initiated activities, as well as group/individual projects and experiences.

The child care center providers are caring, enthusiastic and well trained. The centers provide service before school from 6:00 a.m. until the start of the school day and then from after school dismissal time until 6:00 p.m. The Fort Discovery centers are supported in full by parent fees,
which include weekly rates and an enrollment fee per child. Center size is limited and registration will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

From there you will be able to complete the registration and enrollment process. Please review our Parent Handbook to learn about our policies and procedures. First 4 Days: Students explore the school and meet new friends and every Kindergarten teacher. Back to School Night: Go to your assigned classroom to start the week. Teacher Observation: We watch for learning styles and social needs. Refining Placements: We may move students to balance classrooms. Final Update: You will be notified of any changes by the end of Week 1.
