Change to the 2024-25 School Year Calendar
With the passage of Senate Bill 727 in May, Fort Osage will be required to have a calendar including 169 instructional days for the 2025-2026 school year. Further the same legislation attached additional state funding for the school districts who implement a calendar with 169 instructional days for the 2024-2025 school year.
On June 11, the Fort Osage Board of Education approved a revised 2024-2025 school year calendar to include 169 instructional days. Please click here for the revised calendar.

In addition to the changes noted above, all early childhood center classes will begin on Monday, August 26th rather than the grades K-12 first day of August 21.
We have identified February 17, 2025 as a possible make up day should we miss school for any reason not allowed in the District’s approved AMI plan. Should this day become an attendance day, staff will be notified.
A student calendar will be sent home the first week of school with all students that will reflect these changes. Please let us know if you have any questions.
