Student Teaching

Student teachers at Fort Osage are provided exceptional support and professional development.  All student teachers:

• Attend professional development sessions monthly with their building teams
• Receive on-the-job coaching from a mentor teacher and instructional coach, as well as some content areas receive job embedded training from Research-Based Consultants like Ellin Keene, Cris Tovani and Jeannine Hastings.
• Interview practice and preparation from the building principal they are placed

We  also assure all student teachers will receive a formal interview for any job they are qualified and apply.

For students or universities looking to place student teachers or practicuum students, please contact either member of our Human Resources Team below.  Once placed, student teachers work with our HR Team to complete a background check and obtain proper substitute teaching certification.
