Bands
Fire Prairie Upper Elementary School offers Band to all students interested in learning to play an instrument. Students typically begin Band either through our Summer Band Program or by becoming a member of the 5th grade Band. However, students may also begin at the beginning of their 6th grade year but at an accelerated pace.Take a look around our webpage and you will learn a lot about the Bands at Fire Prairie. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Long.
Choir and Handbells
Singing is a healthy, important and fun part of life, and students continue working on those skills at Fire Prairie Upper Elementary School. We offer an Honor Choir called Timber Singers, which meets outside the school day. We also have a unique opportunity with Timber Chimes, a handbell choir. We own 2 octaves of handbells and 3 octaves of handchimes. Students can quickly begin making beautiful music as they learn to ring in an ensemble. Please look around at the information and feel free to contact Mrs. Long if you have any questions. I am delighted to begin the 2014-15 school year, and wish you a year full of music and memories!
