    Congratulations to FOHS senior Aniya Henson for being selected as a top 10 finalist for the KC SuperStar 2020! The finals will take place virtually later this summer. Aniya is competing for up to $10,000 in scholarship monies. 


    Around the District 

    The Fort Osage Education Foundation, Fort Osage Food Service, and Liberty Fruit have come together to offer boxes of free fresh fruits, vegetables, frozen pre-cooked chicken, and limited dairy.  These boxes are available to anyone who would like to pick one up.  The last pick up will be on Thursday, July 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.(or while supplies last) in front of Osage Trail Middle School.  


    The annual Fort Osage online enrollment has opened for the 2020-2021 school year.  Every family is required to have an annual updated application submitted before receiving their child’s  schedule and teacher information.  To begin online registration go online to log into the parent portal at  Specific instructions on what you will need can be found on our Facebook page, and information is posted on our website at  


    The Fort Osage Education Foundation is working to help families in the Fort Osage School District have a great start to the school year by providing school supplies for students in need.  Would you consider supporting the effort?  For a donation of $25 you can provide supplies to a student in need.  Can't do $25?  Any dollar amount helps reach the $10,000 goal to help over 400 students.  You can get more information or make a donation at


    Attention Rising 9 - 12 families: Do you know someone who might be interested in auditioning for the Fort Osage High School Dance Team? Indianette auditions will be held during July (M, T, Th, F) beginning July 6th and running through July 17th. All paperwork and a physical MUST be completed prior to July 6th.     Are you looking for a job?  Fort Osage is now hiring for bus drivers for the 2020-2021 school year.  We are taking applications and interviewing in June, training in July and ready to drive in August for school.  Paid training, benefits, sick and personal days, retirement plan, paid holidays, no weekends, and opportunity for extra trips and money are just some of the perks.  Apply online today at  


    Graduation for the class of 2020 has been set for Friday, July 31, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at Children's Mercy Park, Home of Sporting Kansas City.  Graduates are limited to six tickets per graduate.  Complete details were emailed out to senior families on June 29th.  If you did not receive that information, please contact Mr. Scott Moore at  Complete details can also be found on our District website and Facebook.    


    Fort Osage will continue providing breakfast and lunch for kids 18 and under throughout the summer.  Starting on July and running through July 24, meals can be picked up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at McCoy Park and Hawthorne Place Apartments.  Pick up will be Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Buckner, Cler-Mont and Elm Grove Elementary Schools.  



    The Fort Osage Career and Technology Center is hiring a welding teacher for the 2020-2021 school year.  A minimum of three years verifiable welding industry work experience in the last ten years, superior organizational and problem-solving skills, along with solid computer software skills are required.  For more information visit


    Fort Osage Adult Education announces the start of online enrollment for our Fall career courses! This Fall we will offer Emergency Medical Technician and Certified Nurse Assistant both classes starting on September 1st. Please visit our website for further details and to enroll online with us!


    Join the Fort Osage Women's Softball Team for their annual camp. Players will receive a t-shirt and instruction from high school coaches. The two days are intended to teach skills and put players in competitive situations. Players will be grouped according to skill.
