August 8 will mark the Fourth Annual Believe to Achieve Professional Development Day in Fort Osage. This year the event will feature a keynote presentation by Kevin Honeycutt, an expert in using technology as an instructional tool, as well as three breakout sessions that will give all staff members the opportunity to select the workshops that will best meet their needs.
At this time we are seeking proposals from district staff members who would like to present during one of these 60-minute breakout sessions. As was the case last year, we are seeking presentations related to one or more of the district’s initiatives: Assessment for Learning, Standards-Based Grading, Student Interventions, Technology, Collaboration and Data Use. We know that teachers across the district are doing AMAZING things in these areas…if you are willing to share your expertise with your colleagues, we encourage you to submit a proposal.
You will find the proposal form by clicking this link or by linking from the Professional Development page of the district website. The deadline for proposals is March 30, 2013, and presenters will be notified about the status of their sessions by April 24.
Please contact your building PD rep or Maria Fleming if you have questions about the PD day or presenting a session.
