Handbooks for the 2010 Summer School Academy are now available and listed below by building. Enrollment for Rising 5^th - 12^th grade will close at the end of the school day on Thursday, June 3^rd. Please consult your building's handbook for contact information and enrollment forms. If you have any further questions, please contact the summer school secretary listed below where the student will be attending summer school. Summer Academy 2010

Students in the Summer Academy program will be provided opportunities to study curriculum that reinforces and/or enriches skills and knowledge learned during the regular school year. Additionally, classes provide students with an environment that is both stimulating and encouraging. Top 5 FAQ's

When is summer school?

Summer School will tentatively begin on June 2nd and end on July 2nd. Any additional days missed due to inclement weather will extend the ending of the current school year and could impact the starting date of the summer school term.

What time do the students attend school?

Elementary students (Rising K - Rising 4th) will be attending from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Fire Prairie students (Rising 5th - Rising 6th) will be attending from 7:20 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. Osage Trail and High School students (Rising 7th - Rising 12th) will be attending from 7:25 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.

Where does my child attend summer school?

All students will be attending summer school in the building in which they will be enrolled this fall (with the exception of Lewis and Clark Rising 9th-12th graders, who will attend Fort Osage High School).

Will meals be available for summer school?

Breakfast will be served for students in all summer school buildings. Lunch will be served only at the elementary level. See your building's handbook for further details.

Will transportation be available for summer school?

Transportation will be available for students in all summer school buildings. Please note that bus stops may not be the same as those during the regular school year. Consult your building's handbook for specific summer school route details.
