Immunization Changes for 2010-2011
The Missouri State Immunization Regulations have changed for the 2010-2011 school year (

). Immunization requirements for school age children
(19 CSR 20-28.010)
and for pre-school
(19 CSR 20-28.040) .
The following are the new additional requirements effective August 2010:
Kindergarten: a second dose of varicella (chickenpox)

A doctor's note will be required if your child is exempt due to already having the illness
Eight (8) Grade
: a booster of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccine
Preschool
changes are effective July 1, 2010:

Age appropriate PCV ( pneumococcal conjugate) vaccine
Ø
If the child has had Varicella (chickenpox) a doctor's note is required, parent note's is not longer acceptable.
Please remember parents/guardians are to provide a complete immunization record for children to attend public school. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact your school nurse.
