There is a great deal of work that goes into planning a reunion.  The Alumni Association can be a great resource to help in your planning efforts.  Here are a few tips to get you started.

0. Get Help--Each class should form a committee to work on the reunion, otherwise it can either overwhelm one person or become unorganized. 
0. Establish a budget--it will cost money, so figure out how much you think people are willing to spend.
0. Location, Location, Location--Where to hold the event is one of the most important decisions.  Check out a number of options so that you can find the most cost effective way to hold the reunion. 
0. What kind of event--This is something commonly overlooked.  Will it be formal?  Relaxed?  Are kids invited?  How long will it last?  Consider all the possible questions people may have.
0. Biographies--Ask people to give you some background on what they have been doing since high school and their contact information.  You can store this in a data base for future reference.
